Should I wear protective eyewear?
Always ensure you wear eye protection when using the device.

Can I use LUMEBOX under a heavy blanket or thick clothing?
Everyone is different, and factors like ambient temperature and skin tolerance play a role. While some may find it comfortable, we generally recommend keeping the back of your LUMEBOX uncovered during use, as covering it with a heavy blanket or thick clothing may cause the device to overheat.
Who should NOT use LUMEBOX?
For your safety and well-being, please note the following guidelines:
- Do not use the device use if you are photosensitive.
- Refrain from using the device while taking topical, oral, or injectable steroids.
- Wait until the healing period after LASIK eye surgery before using the device.
- Do not use the device if pregnant or lactating

Does LUMEBOX test for EMF?
Yes, we do! And we do it properly.
Our approach to EMF testing sets us apart. While testing for EMF can sometimes yield inaccurate results due to various external factors, we've chosen to go the extra mile. Instead of relying on hand-held EMF meters, we opt for independent lab testing, ensuring the utmost precision and credibility in our results.
It's worth noting that many companies report their EMF readings at a distance of 6" from the device. This approach can be misleading because EMF naturally decreases with distance. By reporting readings at 6", they can sometimes present a 0uT reading, which is applicable to LUMEBOX as well.
However, we believe in transparency and precision, so we've taken the bold step of testing EMF at 0 cm from the device in an independent lab. The results show a minimal reading of 0.2uT, signifying extremely low EMF emissions. To put this into perspective, common household appliances like hair dryers often produce EMF levels 50-100 times higher.
Does LUMEBOX have any flicker issues?
Flicker in lighting often arises from variations in power supply stability. This concern is more relevant for LED products operating on AC power. At LUMEBOX®, we are proud to operate on DC power (battery), effectively mitigating flicker-related issues. You may occasionally observe slight flickering for 1-2 seconds when switching between modes, a normal part of the power transition between electrical circuits. This transient flicker is generally harmless, unless you have hypersensitivity to it.
In some cases, hypersensitive individuals may experience headaches when exposed to prolonged flickering, especially at lower flicker rates below 120Hz. Some companies claim to be 'low flicker,' but this term can be misleading, as even lower flicker rates (below 60Hz) are detectable to the naked eye. A more precise measure of flicker is through waveform and flicker index assessments. Fortunately, with LUMEBOX®, a DC-powered device, you won't need to delve into these complexities, unlike larger AC-powered panels that rely on wall sockets.
